I had my doctor's appointment this afternoon. My cholesterol is down (not sure why, but I'll take it) and my weight has gone down a little (which I knew). So that's done.

I just ate something, and I'm going to put some stuff up for sale online. Maybe after a nap :)

I'm planning to run into work later to pick up a library book. Sometime this weekend, I want to walk to work to see how long it takes. Google Maps says that it's 1.3 miles. That would be a way to save money and get exercise, although I'd have bring my dinner and walk home late at night.

I lead an exciting life, don't I?

I wound up napping more than I had planned (so what else is new). When I got up, I threw myself together and walked to the library. It was okay. There is a slightly scary part in which there are no sidewalks near where I live. Few streetlights too. Whenever a car would go by, I got off the road in case they didn't see me. Once I got on the main drag of Lincoln, it was okay. Some spots were so dark, though, that I had problems seeing the sidewalk.

When I got there, I had a "I am woman; hear me roar!" moment. I was a little dismayed, though, that it took me a half-hour to walk 1.3 miles. Yes, I'm out of shape.

I think that I'd want to get into work earlier if I'm going to walk. I think that the walk would be kind of creepy when it's deserted late at night.

Sometime this weekend, I want to take out the bicycle and practice riding it (and, no doubt, amuse my neighbors).
