The power went out a minute after I shut down the computer. Timing. There's a tornado warning in Bloomington (35 miles or so NW of here).

I'm too keyed up to go to sleep. And I'm worried about my alarms going off in the morning. One is on battery, but my phone will be dead if it doesn't charge. I'm going to feed Harlee and do dishes by LED light.

The power came on sometime after I went to sleep. I have a mechanical alarm clock on batteries, which I set. I usually don't set it because it freaks Zara out; she almost does a backflip. But it did the trick this morning. I had 9-volt batteries in two of my electric alarm clocks, but they weren't working. I put in new batteries, and they still weren't working. I guess that the moral of the story is to keep at least one non- electric alarm clock around.

It occurred to me that it's not good that my weather radio is running on electricity. I have batteries in there that need to be replaced.

Work was work. Work was quiet. I never have gotten out of there on time though. I might leave early tomorrow because of that. (I'm not working the front desk tomorrow. Yay!)

Harlee is going, "Mom! You're home! AND YOU'RE NOT PETTING ME! UNFAIR!" It's good to be appreciated ;)
