My mom's friend Randall came by yesterday to fix the Internet access through the router. Apparently it had a special on button for Internet access; who knew? He said that wasn't common. I now have Internet access from my computer, which will be a big help. (One homework assignment had me running back and forth between my computer, which had the necessary files, but no Internet access, to my mom's computer, which had Internet access, but not the files. At least I got my exercise.)

While Randall was working, my mom said that she didn't know how to do something on the computer, "But I'm trainable".

Randall said, "If I had had a trainable girlfriend, I might be married today."

I shot back, "But are you trainable?"

He roared with laughter and said, "I'll never tell."

Good to see that smart-ass Adrienne is back -;)

I now have the printer connected and running too, and am printing an article for class. I need to read it, and comment on the class discussion board, and then prepare for my phone interview tomorrow with Lincoln. The fun never stops....My mom and I are planning to go to a movie, The Butler, after the interview.

My mom bought my cats (Harlee and Nima at the time) two "Cat Sitter" videos. Harlee could care less, but Nima was fascinated by them.

Flash forward to when we were living in my mom's house the first time. Nima had passed away, and I had adopted Zara. Harlee had half of my mom's house, and Zara had the other half. Zara had gotten out into the other half of the house. The TV was on, and Zara stopped, transfixed by the TV. My mom said that she almost didn't have the heart to scoop Zara up. I said that I bet that Zara would like the Cat Sitter videos.

When I was moving, I said that maybe we should bring the TV (a small, old TV/VCR combo) for Zara to watch the videos. (This isn't totally decadent. Zara is in a small room, and I'm worried about her getting enough stimulation.) However, I wound up packing the TV because I didn't think that there would be enough room in the car.

My mom was at a rummage sale today, and saw a similar TV/VCR combo for 3 bucks, and said, "Oh, I need to talk to my daughter. She was looking for a TV for her cat."

"For her CAT?!?"

My mom called me, and I said to get it. My mom thinks that the sellers are still talking about this -;)

Now I just need to figure out what I did with the videos. They're somewhere in my storage unit.
