The Change in the Weather Is Known to Be Extreme (Bob Dylan)

Weird weather today. It was bright and sunny when I got up, which is why I decided to pot my plants. It was hot in here too, so I took a cold shower to cool off. Then a storm cloud went overhead, and it rained slightly. Then it was sunny again. While it was sunny, a storm cloud rolled in directly overhead, and there was some LOUD thunder. (Zara, who normally likes thunder, jumped and ran each time that she heard the thunder.) Then it was completely sunny again. Then another storm cloud rolled in, and there was a light, misting rain that felt rather nice. Then it stopped. There's another storm cloud overhead, but it isn't doing anything. (Well, now it's pouring.)

We lucked out though. A "severe" thunderstorm with major hail passed just NW of us.

It's hot in here. I'm going to finish the one homework assignment that I really have to get done, and then I'm going to concentrate on working on the kitchen and living room so that I can get my A/C fixed. Mad Men is on at 9, though, so I don't know how much I'll get done.

Holy shit. There is the mother of all thunderstorms overhead, and the wind is fierce. I've brought out the cat carriers. I tried to find the Weather Channel or a local station on TV, but no luck. I don't know where my radio is (though I do have a clock radio. Hmm.) There are severe thunderstorm warnings and flash flood warnings, but no tornado warnings thus far. I'm a little freaked -;)
