Errand Day

It occurred to me that I could drop off Mom's canes, etc. before work. I checked the tailoring place and they open at 9:30, which is a little late even with the time change for work, but they're open until 7 and nearby.

I asked Dad about my Kauai trip. He said that I had most of the sights covered, so it'll be a shorter trip than Maui. He also agreed that I should take a boat trip along the Na Pali cliffs rather than hiking it by myself. I asked him if I should go to Oahu also and he said "No!" (Oahu is packed with traffic and tourists.)

I got a super-cute orchid with tiny flowers. (I'll take a picture of it later. Right now, it's draining in the sink.) But they packed it in shredded newspaper, and it went everywhere.

And here it is next to its big sibling.

Now I'm thinking that I want to lie down for a little while (done). Maybe I could drop off the canes over lunch? No, I loaded the car but then it started to rain. At least, the car is now loaded.

Made an appointment to get Mom's car serviced now that mine is back. They don't have a shuttle so I'll have to Uber. I like the Kia dealer better already.

I think that I want to get my eyebrows done (shaping and lamination) before I go on my trips. I don't want to get it done too early though because the effects will wear off.

The people who spray the lawn (and I'm not sure with what) said that the "thin" patches need to be reseeded. Where would I get lawn seed? And something to apply it with? Can I hire someone to do this? Okay, I found someone who will seed the lawn, but they said that it's best in the fall.

Well, heck. It's an air quality alert day. Should I run errands or should I not? I'll be in the car most of the time. I did. I got three out of the four errands done: mailing Mom's Medical Guardian, dropping clothes off to be mended, and picking up a prescription. Oy. They're charging me $80 to get my clothes mended, but I don't have the time.

Huh. I'm wondering if I should keep Mom's car and rent it out. I won't get a lot of money selling it because it's older, but it's in good condition. Food for thought. Note to self: Turo is in Champaign.

Not sure what to do now. I can't work on the kitchen because the overhead light is burnt out. (I want the handyman guy to fix it.) I suppose that I could work in the dining room. No, I guess that I'll get in bed and read about my camera for a while.
