Hmm, I just found some used dental floss in the middle of the hall. The joys of cat ownership....

Oh my. Ella used to do this, so I started tossing floss in the kitchen bin with a lid.

I don't know if you know that cats have a strange way of choking on things-- their throats close around the item and struggles to swallow it all, which has the potential to choke them. They can't cough it out, string-like things especially. This knowledge helps me to know where to keep things, like string toys, and how to dispose of things, like dental floss.

Yeah, we have a can with a lid, but I guess that I was careless and left some of it sticking out. I'm glad that she didn't eat it.
