Cat sedatives scare me. I was keeping a Siamese-mix for a friend and when it got time for them to come and get her, I have her the sedative they'd sent me. It made her totally hyper. She was racing around the walls. No way were they going to get her to SF that way, and I ended up keeping her. Apparently some breeds have odd results to sedatives or something.
