To Boldly Go Where I Never Have Gone Before....

I've discovered that I don't need to go to a coffeeshop to read. I just need to keep my kitchen table cleaned and make my own coffee. Maybe that's obvious, but that's a revelation to me.

Reading while I drink my coffee in the morning is working well. I'm tracking my new habits on my 2017 calendar--decluttering/cleaning, reading every day, and meditation--so I gave myself a red dot for reading. It's silly, but it is motivating.

The book that I'm reading--Hustle: The Life Changing Effects of Constant Motion by Jesse Warren Tevelow--referenced the Medium Web site. It's a social media and blogging site, but it has some very high-powered people on there. I had planned to blog about my personal development efforts, including book reviews, but now I feel like I need to up my game to match the venue. I'm following 147 people, which means that I'll need to read it like Facebook and set a cutoff for reading. (It's a vast improvement over Facebook though.) I already have thirteen followers; I'm not sure why.

People on Facebook have been commenting about how they have to go to work tomorrow, and I'm gloating that I have another day off. Better not waste it....
