Winter? Blah!

I've been fighting the winter blahs. I've been having a tough time getting out of bed in the morning when it's so gloomy and cold. I even overslept a little when I worked during the day on Saturday, but I made it to work on time. I'm behind in my hours for the internship.

The other day, I watched a show on CNN called Black in America: Silicon Valley, about some African-American entrepreneurs who came to Silicon Valley to promote their dot-coms. It was fun to catch glimpses of the Valley; the house that they lived in looked like such a Bay Area house, although I don't know if I could explain why. Anyway, I'm trying to use the show to motivate me to keep working. Some of what I'm doing is vaguely entrepreneurial (such as the professional blog), except that I'm promoting myself instead of a product. I know that entrepreneurs generally have to work for free for a while to build up their business, which is roughly what I'm doing. I need to keep focused. I used to be able to work everyone else under the table, and I'm dismayed that I can't seem to do so now.

At least next week, I'm working only two days at my paid job, so I can catch up on a bunch of stuff (although my mom and I want to see a movie one of those days). I also need to get organized for my Washington DC trip and download some music onto my new smartphone.

Back to work....

Think of how long you were unemployed, and the fact there are a lot of unemployed americans out there. That should motivate you ;)

I remember those posts from a few years back. Good luck honey :)
