Keep Forgetting to Update

It turned out that I had an old injury to the ACL in my knee, which got reinjured on my trip. The doctor said that I was too old to fix it. (I wanted to say, "I'm not old!", but in doctor years, I guess that I am.) He referred me to physical therapy to strengthen the muscles around my knee. I'm playing telephone tag with the therapists. So that's that.

My mom is having another hip replacement on Tuesday. I hope that it goes well.

I fell asleep on the futon tonight and slept for 4.5 hours. So now, of course, I can't fall back asleep. I took my nighttime meds and an herbal sleep aid, and am going to work on Younique stuff until I crash, which might be soon because now I'm feeling the effects of them.

I've never heard that anyone is too old to fix an acl injury. I'd get another opinion. Besides mine, I mean ;p

I trust that doctor. He said that there was a good chance that it wouldn't heal correctly, and I'd be worse off.

It looks like there used to be an age restriction, but there isn't anymore. But if I had surgery, I wouldn't be able to drive for a few weeks, and Lincoln has no public transportation. Trying physical therapy first makes sense.

The logistics involved are a problem, for sure. I've avoided knee surgery for that reason.
