Is Harlee Going Deaf?

I forgot to mention that I was cleaning the carpet in the living room, and the carpet cleaner was loud with an annoying high-pitched whine. Harlee was lying very still in her bed with her head dangling over the edge. For a moment, I feared the worst, but I walked over to her, and she popped her head up.

Is Harlee going deaf? I can't believe that she could doze while the carpet cleaning was going otherwise. On the other hand, I can call her from my bedroom when she's meowing in the hall, and she'll come in.

hm Doesn't strike me as deafness since a vacuum can be felt as well as heard. She may be trusting you more, realizing the sound and feelings intensify when they approach?

She's always been a pretty cool customer about the vacuum cleaner. But I didn't expect her to try to snooze while I was using it!
