It’s way past time for a new bio. And for some reason, I feel like writing it tonight.
As of this writing, I’m currently a librarian in Central Illinois. It has been a strange experience for me because, while I was born in Chicago, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years, and still consider it my home in many ways. I’m learning to appreciate the Midwest. People are nicer than I remember as a snot-nosed (and probably obnoxious) kid.
My career as a librarian is my second career. My first career was as a technical writer in Silicon Valley. I like my new profession; it’s demanding enough to be interesting, but still allows you to have time off to renew and refresh.
My life the past few years has had an irregularly regularly scheduled plot complication. (Maybe that’s true for everyone.) I’m trying to roll with it, but as I have some control freak tendencies, I’m finding it tough.
A good life is having growing things around me and virtual space to roam.
