that might have been me calling. you see, i was borrowing my father's phone and attempted to call someone. but before who ever was on the other line could pick up the phone, i realized i had dialed the wrong number. Before hanging up i heard a voice say "hello?"
although the possibility of this other person being you is very small, close to nil, i would like to apologize anyway.
Child, I had a good idea of how old you were before I even looked at your journal. The situation is that I've been getting these calls intermittently for over a year now, and I have an open police report about them. As you stated, it's highly unlikely that it was you, but it is extremely likely that you are a troll.
Honestly, there are better ways to show mastery then being a troll, although they require more effort. The only people who are impressed by trolls are other teenaged boys. I'd recommend that you interact with your peers. I'm 20 years older that you, and don't have the time to waste on appends such as this one.
okay, i just wanted to apologize again. i truthfully do not know what i had said that bothered you so much... was it really that necessary to call me a troll though? i was just trying to lend some humor to your problem. i understand how irritating hang up calls can get. i had a problem with hang up calls as well, about a year ago. we'd star 69 them and trace the call back to some hospital. it went on for about four months. all right, im probably just irritating you now, and you probably dont even give a crap that you've completely stereotyped and insulted me.
If you hadn't signed it "contemptously", I probably would have taken the append as an attempt at humor. Because you did, it sounded like you wanted an argument, and you got one.
Perhaps I was stereotyping you. Most of the people with whom I've tangled online are part of the same demographic, and it's tough to tell where demographics ends and stereotyping begins.
i started it a few years ago, and i just never let up. basically, i pick a word that completely contrasts my current attitude (or i make one up)and sign off. it is so much more amusing than simply saying "sincerely"... although, next time, i'll reconsider. heh...
um, i guess we are on semi even terms now? you keep mentioning medication in your journal. i was wondering to which med you were referring. I was in a serious car accident three months ago and my doctor has begun administering cortozone shots to my spine (c5-c6-c7). some drunk hit me...
anyway, i wish you a better life, and here's to misconceptions clarified.
Yeah, we're even. The "contemptuously" changed the meaning to something like "you're an idiot to get upset over one hang-up call that probably was a wrong number." But I overreacted to your append.
The medication is Prozac for my OCD. Things are kind of rough sledding right now.
oh. i see. heard a lot of bad stuff about prozac, thats why we shied away from it. they put me on zoloft instead. had been on it for about a year and a half now, should have continued into this summer too, but i decided to take a long drug holiday when i visited the Philippines. i dont feel i'll be going back. (to the drug that is) as for you, im sure youve heard it before, but some people need it forever, others can ween themselves away eventually. guess i was a lucky one. i heard from a few friends that prozac caused them to have horrible nightmares. i told them it was probably just their poor imagination. Heh. ever been out of the country? it is so difficult to pick up the nuances of language over the internet. blech. uh, i think thats all i wanted to say tonight. take it easy, i hope that works out for you.
I have caller ID. The calls show up as "out-of-area" calls, although they might be from a business with its own phone system. Sometimes I've had to pick those up for that reason, although now I route legit business callers to my cell phone.
I also have Privacy Manager, although it's turning out to be a pain to deal with. (It blocks calls in which the caller is unidentified, and asks them to identify themselves. But there's nothing to keep someone from giving it a phony name.)
oops

I'm not much for communication devices but caller id is well worth it.
