And Mom Left to Go Back to Michigan

I got up early to see Mom off. I had told her that I had a bunch of baby maples growing as weeds in the garden, and she wanted five of them. So I dug them up for her and put them in small pots or cans. Mom was joking that Mimi really wanted her to leave because Mimi kept on lying down in the way and had to move. We got her car loaded and off she went.
Now it's nap time. Had a nice long nap. Had lunch. Zara was interested in my food, yay! I never thought that I'd see the day when I'd be glad that she was bugging me! Now she's being snuggly. I guess that my mom being here might be stressful for her too, even though she lived with both my mom and me when she was young.
I'm trying to decide what to do. I need to take a shower and put my makeup on for my voice lesson. I had planned to shave my legs because shorts weather, but that would take longer. I want to practice my song before the lesson. And I want to work on the garden. So much to do; so little time.
My voice teacher was running late, but we connected. Voice went well. She also wants me to learn some light jazzish or easy listening songs for karaoke or auditions. I told her that I want to try out for a community chorus when I move to Champaign, and she said that we'll work on it! We decided on "Wonderful World". However, Zara wanted to be fed and kept on bonking my hand as I was trying to play piano and sing. Thanks, Z :)
Mom called and told me that she made it back okay.
Went out to work on the garden. Planted the thyme, the other rosemary, peas, and sweet potatoes. Put the seed potatoes outside to grow eyes.
Somehow I managed to lose almost two hours. I ate dinner during part of it. Got the garbage out. I don't think that I'll get to clean my bathroom tonight. I'm going to tidy up a little (done) and then go to bed and read.
