Oh fun! Traffic should be fine at that time of day - but it's worth making a quick pit stop to get some groceries before leaving Kahului and going across the island to Lahaina. Lahaina has stores and stuff too, but it's more touristy whereas Kahului is more of a "regular" town where the residents do their shopping and business, if that makes sense?

There is a Costco near the Walmart as well, but it might be too late by the time you get in. One of the fun things about Costco is that they don't raise their prices on the islands - so you can get your $4.99 rotisserie chicken :D

Zippy's is good - I particularly like their chicken, chili and rice plate - it seems like a weird combination - fried chicken and chili? But it works! But all their food that I've tried has been good!
