Alarmed and dangerous

days_unfoldingNow I'm really mad. Yesterday (Wednesday), I found instructions for a smoke alarm lying on my dining room table. I assumed a construction worker must have installed one, and walked around looking for it, but couldn't find it. This morning, I found it in my bedroom. They must have ignored my "Cat inside. Do not open." sign and gone into my bedroom and installed it.
Luckily, Random was still there last night. He must have hid under the bed. However, I can't trust that he would do that every time. And I really don't know what a new cat would do.
I didn't call the homeowner's rep because she wouldn't have been able to change anything already happening today, and Friday, I'll be working at home except when I go to the cat shelter. I think that I'll call her on Friday and ask to be notified each and every time that they're going to enter my unit. I work 10 minutes away from home, and if I have to come home, I will. Of course, with advance notice, even coming home wouldn't be necessary. And if they finish, that would be the best scenario of all.
Otherwise, things went well today. I had minimal health problems today; go figure. I wish I knew what triggers good days versus bad days, but I won't knock good days in any case.
