I'm wondering if a cruise is the better bet - because they do allow for that, or at least more than the land travel appears to? Although G Adventures allowed it - it was up to people to choose what they wanted, but you also have to pay more for the excursions. I guess with Road Scholar - you could opt out of various activities and still be fine?
