days_unfoldingI've been worried about Random over the past few days. He was hiding a lot, sleeping a lot, and taking almost no interest in his surroundings. He was acting almost as if he didn't know who I was. When I petted him, he didn't purr. He was letting Harlee boss him around. However, he was still eating normally and using the litter box.
Last night, when I came upstairs from messing with the garage, I saw a large, bloody boil on his ear. It looks like either he or Harlee scratched his ear, and it became infected. Poor guy.
So I made an appointment to take him to the vet in the late afternoon. (I have an appointment with the garage door people around noon.) I'm a little concerned about getting him into the cat carrier because I'm afraid that I'll bump his ear, but it looks like I might be able to bribe him into the carrier.
(As I said on my forum append at work, any more crises need to take a number -;))
Addendum: Random is currently lying on top of his cat carrier. At least he isn't freaked out at the sight of it.
