Harlee still isn't eating
Apr. 16th, 2002 12:32 amI gave Harlee tuna this morning, and she didn't eat that. I gave her the type of cat food that she's used to, and she didn't eat that either. I'm getting really unnerved. I didn't see any evidence that she used the litter box or otherwise walked around.
So I let Random into the bedroom. He couldn't find her (although he didn't look under the bed), and she didn't try to find him. I pulled some stuff out from under the bed, but still couldn't see her. However, Random suddenly hid under a chair, so maybe she let out a rumble that I couldn't hear.
I think I'll call my vet as well as the shelter to find out when I should intervene. I think tomorrow that I'll take apart the bed, find her, see how she's doing, and try to improve visibility under the bed. I don't want to do so now because I don't want to rile her up when I'm going to sleep, but maybe I'll do that in the AM so that I have more info to give the shelter and vet (and not to mention, so I'll worry less).
I hate the fact that I've been wondering if I'm writing about Harlee too much. Maybe this is the first step in taking back my journal. It has so taken on a life of its own. And my nuisance caller is back after a hiatus. All I want is to live quietly with my cats (and have both of them eat).
