Great chaos

Well, 2003 has started out with a bang.

When I went back to work on Thursday, I thought that things would be quiet because hardly anyone had been there over the holidays. Well, a crisis flared up over some translated material that was incorrect, the translated product is being held up because of it, and there's a customer waiting for it. I hope that the plan I came up with is okay; I haven't heard anything back from some key people (and at least one of them was there). That'll teach me to make assumptions -;)

Originally they told Erik that our divorce would be final on January 16th, but a couple of weeks ago, they sent the whole stack of papers back with a note that we were missing two forms. One I had already filed, and found a copy that was stamped with the date that it was filed, and one we didn't think we had to fill out. Erik and I went back down to the courthouse on Friday morning to try to straighten things out. We were told that we could make an appointment with the person who vets out the paperwork, so Erik has an appointment with her next week. Hopefully that will be the last thing that we have to do (fingers crossed).

When I went for a walk on Friday, I strained some muscles in my back. It hasn't been that long since I last went for a walk. No, really. (My back is better now.)

Random has been sleeping in Harlee's favorite spot, so Harlee has decided that the dining room table, which is off-limits to the cats, is her new spot. We have gotten to the point where I can just say "HAR-LEE" in a stern voice, and she'll get off. However, she's not getting the idea that she should stay off.

I seem to have a mild relapse of the flu. I've slept a ton today, have no appetite, and am feeling chilled and shaky.

On a more positive note, I bought a notebook in which to track my daily progress on the resolutions.

Finished the primer coat on the garage walls.

There's a glob of paint on my right eyebrow that looks like icing.
