Music therapy?
Jul. 4th, 2004 06:02 amOne area that interests me as a possible future direction is music therapy; it combines my interest in psychology with music. On the other hand, it's one of the tougher goals that I could come up with. The degree requires proficiency in voice, guitar, and piano, plus some ability with percussion and "movement to music" (presumably dance). Plus, most programs are in the school of music, so they require certain performance standards....You don't appear to be running away screaming, but I am -;)
Hopefully all my psych and socio would help me.
So if I'm really interested, I should find a non-keyboard-phobic piano teacher and start working on that. It's not exactly something that I could pick up overnight.
But I want to learn mandolin/violin.
'Tis a puzzlement.
