Listening to order
Sep. 6th, 2004 04:03 pmI'm spending a very quiet long weekend, and enjoying it immensely.
I had originally planned to go to the San Jose art and wine festival on Sunday. I also planned to check out the new library in search of sheet music for singing. However, on Sunday I was so tired that I couldn't get out of bed. I did wind up getting a lot done on dejunking the place, so I decided to go with it and stay home today as well. Nothing exciting to write about, but satisfying.
The most important thing that I accomplished was to work on writing down all my goals, setting priorities, and scheduling what I'll do when each day. I know that I won't follow the schedule exactly, but it will give me a better handle on my time.
Singing is still going well. My teacher commented that some nice tone is coming out. (I was surprised to hear this nice tone pop out when I was practicing.) I also did one of the vocal exercises that she gave me exactly right the first time, which impressed her. She thought it might be either because I've studied singing before or that I learn physical stuff quickly. (Seeing me play the guitar would refute the latter idea!) So I'm enjoying it and it's soothing my battered musical ego -;)
I have to go into work later (ugh). I'm bribing myself with a trip to Tower Records first. So I need to run and do some stuff before I leave.
