Parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
May. 1st, 2005 03:27 amI can't find my digital camera. I tore the place apart looking for it to no avail. The reason that I wanted the camera was to post eBay auctions and a listing on Craig's List. I decided to get another one; although the proceeds from the auctions will go to defray the cost of the camera, at least I can keep the camera. I decided to get an HP Photosmart M22 because it's weather-resistant and has red-eye reduction. I reserved the camera online at CompUSA.
I've started cleaning out my bedroom closet, which is an easy task because it's full of stuff that I don't use or wear. I'm going to be running over to the Goodwill donation station all week. On Saturday, I dropped off the first installment at Goodwill and then went to CompUSA to get the camera.
Afterwards, I stopped at WalMart to pick up a few things. They have a Garden Center, and I picked up some herbs and veggies to grow on my patio: basil, mint, chives, rosemary, thyme, strawberries, and a tomato plant. Unfortunately they didn't have dill, which is the herb that I want the most. I'm feeling weirdly protective of the young, green plants. The tomato plant smells exactly how a tomato plant should smell. For me, the smell of a tomato plant is very evocative of Chicago. Gardening makes me nostalgic.
I really like the camera. It's tiny (so I better be careful not to lose this one!) And, of course, I tested it with a gratuitous cat picture:

I've started taking the Technical Editing class. The first assignment involves getting a job description for a technical editor, and some people at my old company have been graciously helping me out. I take back 25 percent of my bitching and moaning about the old company -;) Mostly I've just been really frustrated with the health insurance situation.
For some reason, I'm not feeling well, so I should crash.
