Strange days indeed

It's hard to believe that it's been twenty-five years since John Lennon was shot. I remember that quite well. My friend Dge called me from Omaha and told me that he had been shot. I didn't believe her until I turned on the news. I stayed up for two days watching the news.

I noticed when I became older than he was when he died. When he died, I was 18, and from the vantage point of 18, 40 is older than dirt. So somehow I became older than dirt -;)

I can't imagine caring so much about a celebrity as I did then.

I haven't listened to the Beatles in years.
