Radio-controlled airplanes
Nov. 6th, 2006 11:46 pmThe other day,
corto posted an entry about a radio-controlled model airplane that he bought for his son. Today, the local newspaper posted an article about a club of RC airplane enthusiasts.
Now I'm bitten by the bug. Flying one sounds like an absolute blast. I've already picked out what plane I'd buy (Hobby Lobby's Cobweb II, which sounds the most forgiving for a beginner) and am watching some auctions of an RC flight simulator on eBay. However, I suppose that it's a bad plan to pick up an expensive hobby when I'm unemployed. When I get another job, there's a plane with my name on it.
