I'll take the victories that I can get

The couch in the home office was lying on one of its arms to have a smaller footprint. Harlee adopted it as her perch (on the top arm); she was able to climb up the couch at a 90 degree angle by using her claws. I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen it.

I was able (with some creative rearranging of stuff) to bring down the couch where it belongs and move the bookcase into the corner. The whole feeling of the room has changed. Now it feels like a livable room with a few piles of stuff around rather than a warehouse. So I'm pleased. The cats seem to be pleased too. They love the couch. Even Harlee seems happy after she gave the couch a good inspection. I love having them hang around while I work at the computer:

Someone came by and picked up the computer cart. They said that they "had no furniture" and were picking up free furniture offered on Craig's List.

Now I'm trying to find a cheap black 5-shelf bookshelf for the space where the cart was.
