Partial hearing loss

Sounds sound very faint in my left ear. The same sounds sound loud by comparison in my right ear.

This hearing loss is a problem on the telephone. My left ear is my "telephone ear" so that I can write with my right hand. I can't write with my left hand.

So I bought an headphone and microphone that plugs into my cordless phone. It seems to be working well so far. I can hear the people at the other end of the line, and they can hear me. It leaves my hands free to write.

I need to see if I can get headphones for my cell phone.
