An offer that I couldn't refuse
Apr. 12th, 2008 12:20 amI received an offer for a 30-day pass at 24-Hour Fitness as the resolution to some class-action suit. I went over today to activate the pass. They still had my old record in their computer. I was paying $23 a month at the time that I canceled. The salesman to whom I was talking commented that the cost now was $79 a month. Then he said that if I don't request the 30-day pass, he'll reinstate my old cost ($23) with no initiation fees. It's on a month-to-month contract. I said, "Okay."
Now I guess that I need to make time for the gym. And I probably should diet (drat).
