Experimenting with the "cat alarm"
Oct. 12th, 2008 12:50 amWhen Mom brought the kitties home, she put them in the room that I was going to use. She filled the room with toys as well as food dishes and a litter box. She put up a gate across the door. When I arrived, I moved into the room. (I joked with Mom that it really was the kitties' room, and they were just letting me use it for a while.)
In San Jose, I kept the kitties out of my bedroom. Now that I'm in the same room as them, I wondered if they would serve as a "cat alarm" to help get me up. The good news and bad news is that they leave me alone while I sleep. They go lie down in their cat bed.
I went to a restaurant and grocery store tonight by myself. One small step on the path to independence.
