It was a dark and stormy night, er, day....

It was a very dark and rainy day today. A good day for sleeping. Too good because I overslept an errand that I intended to run. The kitties must have been waiting impatiently for me to get up because they jumped on the bed as soon as I got up. I must have been interfering with their nap time.

I've been feeling off-kilter since I got here. I have to remind myself that I know how to drive. In fact, I drove two-thirds of the way across the country so I can drive here. The unfamiliar roads make me nervous. I've been asking my mom a million questions. I'm sure that I will settle in, but it seems dubious right now. On the other hand, I panicked when my mom told me that she was going to be in Chicago most of this week, but I've been doing well and have been productive.
