Winter doggerel

Is froze
Despite
Warm clothes
(Actual temp 5 degrees F and wind chill of -11. I'm feeling intrepid for going out in it.)
I have to remind myself that when I first started college, the temp was around -15 F with a wind chill of -45 F. And I was out exploring the campus and not letting small details like cold stop me. Now that's a Midwesterner, which I'm not really anymore. Of course, I was young andstupid foolish wild and crazy then.
Actually, the temp tonight was worse psychologically than it was physically. Maybe the Midwestern thing will come back?
