Possum mommy?

We still haven't caught the possum. He moves around nervously when I go in the garage, so I've started talking to him in the vain hope of soothing him. Yesterday I found myself saying, "It's okay. Mommy's just getting some food." Oh, nooooo.....I guess I'm starting to think of him as a funny-looking cat.
