Odds and Ends

I bought a used Kindle on eBay (for use during the trip). It's pretty cool. It's the right size for a book, and the text is easy to read. The wonders of technology....I just added approximately 30 public domain books to the Kindle. It looks like I won't have to buy books for the trip. (Of course, the Kindle cost money....)

My mom had cataract surgery on Monday. She had surgery on the other eye a few weeks ago, and she recovered quickly with no problems. This time, she's been really sick. I would think that there would be the same result both times, but no.

I'm having joint and muscle pain, and I don't know why. I don't think it has to do with going to the gym because I haven't gone for a few days.
