We had a good time at the fireworks display yesterday. We normally go to another show, but it is going to take place on Tuesday, when I work. I trolled the Internet to find another one in a nearby town. We wound up really liking it. It had a live rock band composed of middle-aged guys who played classic rock. There were several food trucks that served a variety of food (well, picnic-type food: hot dogs, corn dogs, sausage, hamburgers, ice cream, snocones...). The only downside was that there was a tree blocking some of the view of the fireworks. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening.
In other exciting news, WSU (where I got my Master's Degree) is hiring a cataloger/metadata librarian. I'll give it a shot. There also is an interesting job at the University of Washington in Seattle.
Right now, I'm doing my Perl homework. I'm unfortunately wait-listed for my XML class, but it's my own fool fault for registering late. I hope that it will open up....
