Road Rage

platofish posted an entry about road rage. (I hope that they charge the bastard with attempted murder and lock him up for a long time.) That reminded me of something that happened the other day.

I was driving on the highway between Springfield and Jacksonville. I was behind a BMW that was going slowly, so I changed to the left lane and tried to pass him. As soon as I did, he sped up so that I couldn't get into the right lane in front of him. When I slowed down, he slowed down. We went back and forth like that for a while. Then he had to slow down because of a car in front of him, so I finally passed him. He changed to my lane and started tailgating me. I went into the right lane, but he continued to tailgate me. WTF? He probably thought that he was a big deal because he drives a BMW, and he didn't want to be passed by a Honda Civic. Got to wonder what planet some people are living on.

When I exited at Jacksonville, he did too, but he went into the left lane and passed me. Good riddance.
