I signed the lease today, got the keys, and dropped some stuff off at the townhouse. Then I ran out and bought a microwave, an air mattress, and some other stuff, and brought it all back to the townhouse. (My goal was to have enough stuff there that when I come back next week, I'll have everything I'll need to stay overnight there.) When I was leaving, I found myself saying, "Goodbye house," which is a good sign. I took some quick and pretty lousy pictures, but I won't have time to post them until later this week.

I'm trying to figure out which bedroom should be my bedroom and which should be my office. The front bedroom is slightly larger, but they're close to the same size. The front bedroom has two windows that look out on the parking lot, which is kind of a blah view. The back bedroom has one window with a nicer view. The front bedroom has a cable hookup. If I made the front bedroom my office, I could connect my computer directly to the cable modem, and wouldn't need a router, although I'd probably set it it up anyway. If the front bedroom was my bedroom, I could watch TV in bed, although I've never done so. Both rooms have a similar amount of closet space. Any thoughts?

Added: It just occurred to me that Zara would enjoy looking out the front windows more, which is a consideration for making the front bedroom my bedroom. Yes, I do spoil my cats.

The move is set for Wednesday of next week.

I'm so tired that I'm practically walking into things, but I'm doing laundry at the hotel. I have a lot to do tomorrow. I need to call to get the utilities under my name. I plan to bring another load of stuff to the townhouse (at least, as much stuff as will fit in the car given that I'm also bringing stuff back to Michigan) when I pass through on the way to Michigan. I'd also like to stop by the place that sells used washers and dryers for delivery (I hope) next week. (The property management company is checking whether they have a washer and dryer to rent, but I doubt it. There is no laundry room in the (small) complex.) And I need to drive back to Michigan. It's going to be a looong day....

Oh, and North Dakota State University called me to set up a phone interview, and I told them that I had accepted another job. It's good to know that there is a fair amount of interest in my skill set.
