Wasting Away Again In Internetville

I don't waste away in Margaritaville. I waste away in Internetville. Webville? I've spent the evening "wish-list" decorating the upstairs bathroom, in which I want only wood signs because I don't want pictures to mildew because of the shower. I might actually get one that says, "Wake up and be awesome" because I wake up groggy because of my meds. (I need to start taking them early in the evening, which helps.) "Wake up OR ELSE" would be more to the point. Caffeine is my friend. (Maybe I should have a custom sign made that says that.) I'm also rather fond of the Oscar Wilde quote, "You can never be overdressed or overeducated". Or, "If you want the best seat in the house, move the cat." All I need is money. Lots of money.

I also was reading the New York Times' Modern Love column, and I think that the woman whose husband turned on a snow machine in the house has grounds for divorce -;)

I really need to get some stuff done tomorrow before watching the countdown. I definitely want to get the bricks so that I can let Harlee into the rest of the house, and we can sit on the futon together watching the countdown, I drinking a little of the leftover Muscato, and teetotaler Harlee drinking water. Maybe I should give her some catnip....

New Car

Here it is. My mom and I dubbed it "The Little Engine that Could" because it's a solid little thing.

Poor Harlee

I opened the gate to let Harlee out. At first, she was roaming the upstairs, and seemed okay. Then she came downstairs
and started meowing at the top of her lungs. Then she ran upstairs and hid in the office closet. Not a good New Year for Harlee.

 

I just watched the East Coast countdown, and am wondering who will broadcast the Central countdown. But, to be honest, I don't care all that much. I will stay up until midnight though.
