Shop Until You Drop
Jan. 12th, 2014 02:06 amI used my 10-percent-off coupon at Home Depot tonight. I bought cleaning supplies, light bulbs--and a "majesty palm". It's going to look great in the living room (although I need to re-pot it because it's top-heavy and tilting).
Then I went to WalMart and picked up the spinner rack that I ordered for my rock CDs. I also bought a pair of gym shoes that are perfectly my size. (I have weird feet--size 6.5 wide--so I grab any cheap pair of shoes that size that I can.) I also bought some groceries.
Then I went to Kroger and bought things for which I had coupons. I'm starting to buy stuff "for the basement"; I have some shelves down there as an auxiliary pantry for food and supplies, plus a freezer. I'm hoping to use them to 1) buy stuff on sale, 2) always have a stash of stuff so that I don't run out of things, and 3) have to shop only once a week. That's the plan, anyway. (And 4) have a stash of food in case I run low on funds sometime. I will still be able to eat.)
Then I picked up a couple of things at Meijer and came home. Harlee had a breakthough; she was out and visible in the office when I came home! (Generally she's been hiding in the closet.) I'm planning to let her into the rest of the house again tomorrow.
I just ate my free pizza from Kroger. I also found garlic twists at Kroger that you can make in the microwave--kind of chewy, but good.
The "drop" part is also accurate; I'm wiped out and zoned. I'm going to do kitty maintenance and crash.
