Thinking the Best of People

I tend to assume the worst about people's reactions. I dropped one class because it didn't cover what I thought it would cover, and added another class instead. I registered for the new class yesterday, and it didn't show up on the course software (Blackboard) until today. A homework assignment was due yesterday, so obviously, I'm behind schedule. I sent the instructor a note saying that I just added the class and will catch up by the end of the week. I expected him to grumble about the fact that I added the class so late and will be handing in the first homework assignment so late. His response:

"Welcome! Take all the time that you need."

So there's a little life lesson....
