More advice?

I'm thinking of getting this daypack. I like the light grey/laurel oak color, but I'm wondering if that color would be impossible to keep clean. Any thoughts? I ordinarily like purple, but the purple is a little too purple for me. The green/blue one is "meh" as far as I'm concerned.

The more important thing: my mom had hip replacement surgery today, so send good thoughts her way. My mom's friend said that the surgery went well. She'll be in the hospital until Friday, and then rehab for some unspecified (at this point) amount of time.
