Ahhhh...Coolness

Now my air conditioning is working. Go figure. It was hot today (mid-80s) and is supposed to be the same tomorrow. So that will help a lot.

I talked to my therapist today about possibly getting a psychiatric service dog, and she said to discuss it with the doctor.

Sometimes I need to be smacked with the obvious. I was reading an article aimed at academics about if they're stuck on their writing, get a change of scene. I'm taking Friday off to make it a four-day weekend, but need to get a ton of homework done. So I'm going to go to Starbucks or the public library and camp out until I make inroads on it. I will have less chance to get distracted.

Kitty drama

I was outside when something jumped on the deck and ran over into the corner. It was a cat. A cute, friendly cat that reminded me a little of Chaos (remember him?) He or she loves to be petted. He or she was also very talkative. He or she looked like he or she wanted to come inside, but I managed to sneak in and close the sliding door to the deck quickly. He or she is still hanging out there, peering inside. Harlee saw him or her, and walked over very slowly meowing. They "touched noses" through the door, and then the stray kitty backed off as was polite (in kitty language). Not aggressive like Zara, just friendly. He or she seems to be well fed though. I hope that it's just an outdoor cat that has a home.
