Today, I framed the posters of various places (San Francisco, Hawaii, Paris, London, Positano) and hung them on the walls of my bedroom. They really make the room come alive.

Then I assembled the TV stand and attached it to the TV, which was much more difficult than it sounds. I also discovered why the VCR/DVD player combo wasn't working, and I needed a different cable to attach it to the TV. So I threw myself together and we went to Best Buy to get the cable.

Then we ate at a restaurant that has intrigued me for a long time, Wild Berries. My food was just okay, but the dessert was delicious (Banana Bread Foster). I'd like to give them another chance.

When we got home, I connected the VCR/DVD player and it worked. Then we watched Quartet, which was terrific. I had been impressed by how well they simulated playing the musical instruments, only to realize at the end of the movie that most of the musicians really were musicians.

That's about it for our wild and crazy times.

Well, I had planned to finish assembling the small spinner rack for my rock CDs. I worked on it, but couldn't figure out how to attach the bottom portion to the top portion. (The instructions are basically useless.) I finally figured out that the bottom of the top portion was on backwards. During my struggle with it, both the bottom portion and the top portion fell apart several times. I finally got the top portion assembled the way that it's supposed to be, and decided to take a "short" nap.

And I slept for three hours. That was the end of my plan to make lemon-mint salmon and roasted asparagus. I just nuked stuff for my mom and myself (and made garlic bread). Then we watched a DVD about Lithuania.

Mom is going to leave tomorrow. I've really enjoyed her visit, but it will be nice to have the place to myself for a while. I don't go back to work until Monday.

I can't stop yawning even though I had the long nap. I have something to finish and send off for work and write a letter describing how my hearing aids aren't working for my mom to bring back with her along with my hearing aids to get them fixed.
