M Day Minus One Week
Dec. 3rd, 2014 09:35 pmI set up a table at a flea market in Peoria last Sunday. No one bought anything, but several people took catalogs and business cards, so I'm hoping that some of them will buy something. They haven't done so yet though. Here's a picture of my table:

I've got my mom hooked on Younique though, so my evil plan is working -;) I'm planning to sell at some craft shows in the Chicago suburbs next year.
I got the okay to take all of next week and the following Monday off, which will really help. My move date is a week from tomorrow, and I'm sure not ready. To be honest, I'm counting the days until I'm off of work so that I can focus on packing.
It looks like the tiny used washer and dryer that I saw in an appliance store with my mom will be my best bet (the washer and dryer space is small), so I'm hoping to stop by the store on the way to work tomorrow and buy them. I'm anxious to do that soon because I need them delivered over here before the move so that the movers can take them down to Lincoln. I won't be able to wash comforters in this washer and dryer set, but there's a laundry room in the complex plus a 24-hour laundromat down the street.
On Monday night, I was stopped because my car registration had expired. I had thought that it expired on my birthday in mid-November (which is how car registration works in Michigan), but it had expired in October. The policeman was very polite and didn't write a ticket once he verified that I owned the car, but I went to the DMV in Lincoln the following day. I went an hour before it closed, and hoped that would be enough time to traverse the lines. I walked into the building to find...no lines. It took five minutes to get the tag. It took 15 minutes if you count the time to drive there and back. There's definitely some advantages to small-town living.
I'm so tired that I'm seriously considering going to sleep now at 9:30 PM. For me, that's ridiculously early.
