I'm going to have to take only one suitcase to S.F and do laundry periodically along the way. The problem is Amtrak and their limitations on luggage. I have a 17-inch laptop that I need to take because of my classes, and Amtrak considers a bag big enough to hold the laptop to be "luggage". I did find a laundromat a couple of blocks from my hotel. I know where there is one in San Jose. I should be able to do laundry at my dad's house.

However, I'm trying to pack for multiple types of weather. San Francisco is cold (55 today, and the prediction is for 60s and 70s while I'm there). Nevada is hot with temps up to 100. San Jose is in the middle. I need to bring short sleeves for San Jose and Nevada and long sleeves for S.F. I foresee a game of Tetris while I pack. I've decided to wear my lightest S.F. outfit on the plane. Maybe I could also wear it in San Jose after I do laundry.

I've decided to bring only a few shampoos, body wash, etc., and buy more as needed when I get there.

(Or the Monty Python giant foot is squishing me.)

I'm stumped on the second program for my Python class. I keep making incremental progress with it, but I need more time to work on the weekly programs than I have. So I'm going to keep working on the assignments for the class...slowly. And then I'll take the class again in July.

But damn, this class is hard. (I'm not the only person who thinks that; it's a frequent complaint that the class is too hard for an introductory programming class. And I thought how hard can it be? I've taken programming classes before.) Apparently a lot of people submitted programs that didn't work correctly for this assignment, but I don't want to submit programs that don't work because understanding how to write the programs is more important to me than the credential.

I've also bought a basic programming book using Python (not a basic Python book, which I already have), so I hope that it will help. I'm having it shipped to CA, so I need to remember to make room for it in my bag.

So now I'm working on my Data Science class, which is a lot easier thus far.
