TGIF. I'm usually wiped out by the end of the week these days now that I'm running the library. Some days seem to be more or less under control, and then I have a day like Thursday during which there must have been a sign on the library saying, "Contact Adrienne right now!" But most crises have been averted or kicked over to my boss. At least my boss appreciates what I'm doing; she's paying me a monthly bonus until we hire a library director, which was a nice gesture. I have to say, though, that I'm not working a lot of overtime, but I work my tail off when I'm at work.

Tomorrow is the Lincoln Balloon Festival, the balloons being hot-air balloons. I'm going to go. There's supposed to be a classic rock cover band in the afternoon, which should be fun. There are kite exhibitions during the day. The balloons ascend at 6 PM. And they are lit up at night, which I really want to see. This means that I'll be there for a while, but I'm going to bring my Kindle because I keep complaining that I don't have time to read my sales and marketing books, so here's some tailor-made time. I also want to try to talk to people about Younique and Monat, and we'll see how that goes. By the way, I am NOT going up in a hot-air balloon, tethered or otherwise, because I'm scared of heights.

Speaking of Younique and Monat, I'm not dropping Younique, but I want to focus on Monat. I have a year to make Founder, which is the highest rank in the company. If I make that rank, I will be able to participate in profit sharing, which adds up to a nice chunk of money. (I've heard 80K a quarter, but I suppose that it depends on how many people are splitting the pot.) I'm going to give it the old college try.

If I get good pictures at the Balloon Festival, I'll post some.
