Vacation Minus 1 Week
Dec. 13th, 2015 04:33 pmIt's a gray and rainy day. It could be worse though; Chicago had thunderstorms. The temperature has been up in the 60s F. In December in the Midwest. Weird weather. I'm hoping that the coffee will kick in because I have stuff to do, and all I want to do is sleep.
One more week to go before vacation. Work is going well, but I was out sick one day this week, and am still kind of tired. I finished one of the Acquisitions classes that I'm taking, and the other one ends on Friday. I've been mostly working on it at work, but I need to do some catch-up on it today.
I'm also working on Christmas cards. I can't find my address book, so I've been looking up addresses on the Internet. It's been working, which is both helpful and a little creepy. I also need to package up Monat samples, so I can put the cards and packages in the mail tomorrow.
I have all my Christmas presents, but haven't wrapped them yet. My mom and I are going up to Chicago for a few days around Christmas. I have the reservation to board the cats, poor girls.
I'm looking forward to having some time to myself after Christmas. I took out a bunch of library books, both pleasure reading and self-improvement. I bought some planning books to set goals for 2016. (I was looking though them, and Zara promptly lay down on them and started chewing the spiral binding. Thanks, Zara. You're ever so helpful. Not.)
And so it goes....Maybe I need another cup of coffee.
