Woo-Hoo!

Off tomorrow. I'm taking Mimi to the vet to talk to her about Mimi's aggression, and possibly give her meds.

I march in Commencement on Saturday, but otherwise, I have a three-day weekend. And I'm tired, but determined to get some stuff done. I want to do some reading, so maybe I'll hang out in the local coffeeshop after Commencement.

I also would like to stop at Verizon sometime this weekend to discuss switching my Internet from Comcast to them. It's much cheaper.

My boss also told me about a cheaper cell phone option that rebates any data that you don't use. The idea of having to reinstall all the apps on my phone, though, gives me pause. And apparently, I didn't bookmark the company and don't remember the name, so I'll have to ask her again about it. Found it--Republic Wireless.

Back from the vet. We're going to try giving Mimi Prozac, plus I need to pick up some Feliway. The vet is concerned about Mimi eating Zara's dry food. (Mimi is a chubster at 12 pounds.) She suggested a feeding station with an RFID tag, but that would cost $200, so I vetoed that idea. I guess the best that I can do is feed them separately only for a certain time period, and take the food away afterward. That won't be great for Zara, though, because she's a grazer.

We also talked about Harlee's food. The vet wants me to send a list of the ingredients in the limited-ingredient dry food that I give her. Otherwise, she suggested that I make Harlee's food from scratch. Oy, but Harlee's worth it.

I first went to Verizon's web site to check out their Internet access. I gather that I can't get their fiber optic access (which doesn't surprise me, given that I live in the boonies). However, their site was so confusing that I couldn't figure out what my options are. I guess that I'll have to go to their store to talk to them. My other option is Frontier, but it has slow DSL access. (Cheap, though.) I'll sort this out. Fie on Comcast!

I had more luck with AT&T. After having a tough time logging on because they wanted a password and a passcode, and I didn't realize that they were different, and a chat rep had to help me, I checked my data usage, and I was WAY overpaying for data. I knocked $40 a month from my bill, which made it comparable to what I'd pay with Republic Wireless, and I wouldn't have to change phones. Score! I wish that I did this a while ago! (This will cover Mimi's Prozac, which isn't cheap. Sigh.)

I want to subscribe to You Need a Budget to create a budget. It also has a phone app that you can use to check how much money you have in different categories. I want to wait until next month to set it up because it would be easier to set it up when I first get paid, but I can work on the amounts for the different categories. I hope that this helps!

I'm hungry :)
