Zen and the Art of Productivity
Jun. 19th, 2016 07:14 pmThe system has been down at work. Again. I worked from home Thursday and Friday, except that I fell asleep and had to make up the time. I stay awake much better under florescent lights. I sincerely hope that the system is up on Monday; IT said "Monday or Tuesday". I wish that I could bill IT for the use of my Internet access.
Saturday I decided to try Aldi's grocery store because on Friday, I read a blog post that said that Aldi's had the lowest prices, slightly less than WalMart. I really don't think that it was much less than WalMart, but I did get a lot of food. The best buy was cheap cat food (limited flavors though--I need to get more at WalMart) and cheap kitty litter. Given that I continually use both, it's worth saving a few dollars at a time.
Today, I've been hyper-productive. Why? I got 13 hours of sleep last night. That's not going to happen during the week, so I'll be tired. I really need 9 hours of sleep a night, but I try to get 7 - 8. Anyway, I'm down to one box left in the kitchen, plus some stacks of mail to go through. I'm pleased.
My life coach is getting frustrated with me, but working from home, anyway, is time-limited. I already told him that I can't work on decluttering on Monday, but he keeps forgetting that. I should say that I won't get any done on Saturday because I'm usually wiped out. He doesn't know what I'm up against, but I battle depression/negative symptoms ALL THE TIME. I'm never going to be as productive as someone who doesn't have to deal with them. And I do work full-time.
