Opportunity Cost
Sep. 1st, 2016 12:48 amMy mom is back home, after getting stuck in traffic in the Detroit metro area. I really enjoyed her visit, but it's kind of nice to have things back to normal (and I get to sleep in my bed tonight! Harlee's futon isn't the most comfortable place to sleep, but apparently I can sleep anywhere.)
Mimi was apparently exhausted by my mom's visit. This morning, she was asleep in the little house in the upstairs cat tree, and she didn't even twitch when I shut her in the bedroom. She came out briefly when I fed her, but then went back into her spot on the cat tree. She didn't even complain when I came home for lunch/dinner. She did complain when I came home tonight, and now I've switched the two girls. Now Zara's unhappy, sigh.
I picked up some Banquet frozen dinners yesterday, including some spaghetti, and they're pretty good. They were on sale for $1.25, so I picked up some more tonight. I was pondering the opportunity cost of cooking; I had thought of making a big pot of spaghetti over the long weekend and freezing it, but is that the best use of my time? OTOH, I have a bunch of spaghetti and spaghetti sauce that I need to get rid of. So maybe I will make it.
I'm taking Sunday off so that I get a four-day weekend. Looking forward to it!
