Chaotic Morning

I woke up at 7:30, don't ask me why. My stomach was really queasy. I had something to eat, and then went back to sleep.

I overslept my alarm because I was in the middle of a dream. (If I'm dreaming, I don't always hear the alarm.) Got up. My stomach was still queasy.

Mimi was on the warpath because she was HUNGRY! And it was all Zara's fault! She was chasing Zara all over the house. I didn't actually feed them much later than normal. Don't know what was with her. How can a kitty who is so sweet to me be so obnoxious to other cats?

Anyway, I ate some (I hope) stomach-settling Ramen. I need to get moving to run errands. I want to make it to the storage place while it's still light out.

Zara came over here, rubbed against me, sniffed the spot where I usually have food, and went away. I guess that I was told what's important to her ;) Most cats settle down after they eat, but Zara gets the zoomies. She's running and jumping all over the house.

Back from My Errands

The good news:

• The new phone has a SIM card and is activated.


• Went to the thrift shop looking for a plain black blouse. Amazingly, found one that fits. Also found a couple of other blouses. The search for a washable navy blazer continues.


• Brought some stuff back from the storage place to sell. Couldn't find the sleeping bag pad though.


• Went to the grocery store and got ingredients for mac and cheese (the good, baked kind). They were almost out of cat food though. Zara's not going to be happy because they were out of chicken.

The bad news: I forgot that Walgreens' pharmacy closes early on Saturday, so I didn't pick up my meds.

It's COLD out, and it's good to be home.

New Phone/Mom Report

I'm in love with my new phone. It takes good pictures. I called my mom, and the sound quality was good on both ends. I think that we have a winner.

Mom was tired this week. She's not looking forward to the drive to Chicago a week from tomorrow. I hope that she stops and rests. My uncle is home from the hospital, but he had a hard time going up the steps to the house. My aunt doesn't know what she'll do when he needs to go to the doctor. I'm probably going to stay home with him when my aunt and my mom go to church on Christmas.

My stomach is upset again :( I'm trying to decide whether to go to sleep now and do homework in the morning, or just soldier on.

Before the call, I got my dresses out of the garment bag (which I'm going to sell), and found one that I forgot that I had. It's kind of cold to wear a dress though.
